In Theodora Sities article "Rock my network" she begins to talk about many different networks in our digital world. I for one have a few, my cell phone with text messages, my lap top with FaceTime, my internet with email and my TV with news from around the world. These are just a few but just looking at these few you can see that there are many more ways that anyone can communicate. As I write this blog I am chatting with my seven year old cousin on my lap top through FaceTime (did I mention that she only lives five minutes away) but she loves to call me each night and tell me how her day at school went.

I can turn on my TV and watch a news report from miles and miles away. I can go on the internet and simply type in one word in Google and it would give me a list of things from all over. I can turn my phone on and text message my friend that lives in Florida like she is right there with me.

All of this networking has definitely changed the way I and I am sure everyone else's type of communication. Some can say it is for the better and some can say it is for the worst. Communication has become much easier for the general population( well some), students and anyone else who use it in everyday life. I have some more cons then pros for this one. I say this because when it comes time to write a paper for school I begin to write my paper the same way I would text my friends and it is actually hard for me to break that habit. We all surround oursleves with all different types of communication some for the good and some for the bad.

I really loved all you had to say. You made so many good points that I'm sure a lot of us can relate too. I can relate to you when it comes time to write a paper, you tend to type as if you were just typing to a friend over text messaging. I do this even when I take notes in my computer. Abbreviating certain words helps me type faster but it also makes it harder when it comes time to write a paper and you want to sound professional. Thats why I always go back and read what I wrote afterwords even if its as simple as an email.

It is absolutely crazy to think how communication has evolved. From light signals, to letters being carried by hand, to now being able to receive an important message seconds after it was sent, it scares me to think what on Earth is going to come next. These are things that I personally cannot even fathom. Are we going to be able to hope through a TV to go visit a relative? What about taste the cookies Grandma just made through the phone. Honestly, things like this would not fully surprise me.
